Berra had called on the Humakti Battalion and spoken to her old Regimental superior officer within the organisation, getting permission to bring Mellia and Yamia in for a consultation. She did that, and then went off with Varanis and Xenofos to a party, where she hung out with the guards and started an argument. On being pulled away she was politely menacing to everyone at a very expensive party, but was a very good bodyguard on the way home. After having disagreed with servants the day before on such fundamentals as whether they were allowed to touch her things to wash them, she moved out of her position in front of the door to Varanis’ room… And into Varanis’ room, across the door.
