Events

Lenta wrote a letter to Kalis about the current situation and requested access to a relic. Her letter could have caused a bit of a diplomatic incident, so Irillo made a few edits before it was given over to Berra to carry.1Text edited out by Irillo: “Should we all die, no blame should be placed on the fine people of Beasts gather. Especially not their brave chief who while declining to participate did offer to take the burden of this minor skirmish off Vareena if she found the task too daunting.”

Berra travelled to Boldhome, visited various temples, led worship, and made her way back to Beasts Gather. While at Beasts Gather, she asked Chief Kulharl to guard the Wyter Sword while she took care of the Chaos problem.

Lenta and Irillo went to Beasts Gather, where Lenta talked with the chief’s wife, Lyra. She told her when the group would be going in. She also suggested the group would lit a pyre if/when they are victorious, but the chief’s wife suggested simply sending a messenger. Lyra asked why Lenta looked so serious and she admitted being concerned. She then asked for hospitality and Lyra wanted to know if that would be in the same bed with Irillo or separate. Separate beds were requested. However Lenta did dance and cast some glances which resulted in a blond stableboy, Saral the Straw-Hair approaching her with an offer of ale. Lenta accepted the ale but said she was actually looking for company for the night. Not believing his luck Saral asked if the offer would be for him and his buddy. Lenta only took Saral to her bed though. The young man was too eager at first, but had stamina to make up for it.

In the meantime, Irillo got busy with other folks at Beasts Gather, trying to get information and determine something useful about trade routes.

Mellia, Maalira, and Varanis went to the Nunnery. Mellia had a prenatal check-up and Varanis had a nightmare.2Varanis had nightmares on nights 2 and 3 of the 5 nights spent at the Nunnery. The two White Ladies ganged up on Varanis, got her to finally confess her nightmare problem, then drugged her and sent her to sleep more.

Lenta and Irillo made their way south to Toena Fort to visit the Aranwyth. While there, Lenta spotted the horns of the broo that killed her, mounted on the wall. Irillo tried to impress people by singing about his friends. Lenta asked some questions about the killing of that broo and smiled herself into the company of one Ararg Never-doubt for the evening and the night.3The enthusiastic Orlanthi explaining the broo-killing raid.

After leaving Raven at Beasts Gather, Berra regroups with the rest of the party, not far from the Six Sisters. She brought Lenta a package from Kalis and a choice of three blades. Varanis disapproved of the dagger, but did not say anything. They have some food and make plans for how to proceed.4Battle order: Crunchy front: Berra (point), Bleujen, Varanis (left), strong Humakti (right); Mid is healers and Lenta; Rear is Irillo and medium Humakti
