Serala — Love Letter
Sometime after [[[g01:session-15|Session 15]]] a letter finds its way to Serala.
To Serala, from Varanis.
I received your gift. Words cannot begin to describe how gorgeous it is. My seamstress is already making a dress for me, though I’ve asked her to save the little pieces so that I can add them to as many garments as I can. This way, I can always have a little of you close to me.
I miss you. My days are full, but my heart is empty without you. Please be safe, so that one day we can be together again.
Ps. Please tell Fin to look after himself too. I need to refresh my list of swear words. I’m wearing out the ones he taught me.
Enclosed with the letter is a poem:
She is one woman – there is no one like her.
She is more beautiful than any other.
Look! She is like a goddess arising at the beginning of a new season;
brilliantly golden skinned, raven haired;
with beautiful eyes for looking,
with sweet lips for speaking;
she has not one phrase too many.
With a long neck and golden breast,
her hair of genuine jet;
her eyes sharper than the hawk’s;
her aim truer than the wind;
her fingers make the
bowstring and my heart sing.
Lithe her body,
with alynx’s grace she treads on ground;
and with Grazelander’s glory she rides.
She has captured my heart in her embrace.
She makes all men turn their necks to look at her.
One looks at her passing by,
this one, the unique one.
